Returned for trial for £2.1 million worth of drugs

Eleven defendants are to stand trial charged in connection with the seizure of over £2 million worth of drugs.

The defendants face a combined total of 83 charges allegedly committed between September 2013 and August 2014.

They include being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis and aiding and abetting the possession of drugs.

Four of the defendants cannot be named because of an anonymity order.

The other defendants are: 33-year-old Declan Gallagher, 49-year-old Patrick Joseph Ward, 25-year-old Ryan Jake Ratcliffe and 24-year-old Benjamin Harding, 55-year-old Edward Cameron, 43-year-old Phillip Leslie Colville and 49-year-old Michael James Rainey.

They have address in Manchester and Belfast. Gallagher was remanded in custody and all other defendants were released on bail until December 17.
