Police are appealing for information after a man wielding a knife robbed a Derry shop.

Police say the shop in Great James Street was robbed last night (Feb. 12).

“It was reported at around 6.40pm that a man entered the shop, produced a knife and demanded money from a staff member,” a PSNI spokesman says.

“A sum of money was handed over and the man then made off on foot along the Lower Road. The man was reported to have been wearing a burgundy coloured hooded top and jeans. There were no reports of any injuries.”
