A 27-year-old who admitted disorderly behaviour has received a suspended sentence.

Ryan Leigh McLaughlin, of Glenabbey Street, pleaded guilty to one charge relating to an incident on May 7.

Derry Magistrate’s Court heard police saw McLaughlin and two other men involved in an altercation on the Northland Road.

Officers intervened and the 27-year-old began using ‘inappropriate language’ in front of members of the public.

District Judge Peter King suspended a three month sentence for two years.
