‘Suspicious approach’ report probed

Police are investigating after it was reported that a man approached two children in Derry.

Two eleven year-old boys were playing on a football pitch in Strathfoyle at around 7.30pm on June 8 when they were approached by a man.

Police have described him as being in his mid 30s and approximately 6ft tall with a dark goatee beard.

A spokesperson said: “He was wearing a light blue t-shirt with the price tag still attached, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers with red stripes.”

Police have appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or contact a member of the local Neighbourhood Policing Team directly.
