The PSNI in Derry are treating as “unexplained” the sudden death of a man whose body was found in the city centre last night- Sunday, August 23.
The body of 25 year old Conall Kerrigan was discovered in the area of Bank Place at around 10.20pm.
It is believed Conall had been in the Metro Bar on Saturday evening and left at around 2am on Sunday morning.
Just before his body was discovered an appeal for information was launched through the ‘Missing People Northern Ireland’ Facebook page.
The appeal page stated: “The family of a 25-year-old man who has gone missing are becoming increasingly concerned about his welfare.
“Conall Kerrigan, from Glack in Co Derry, was last seen leaving a city centre bar in Derry in the early hours of this morning.
“He was in the company of a couple around his own age.”
The appeal goes on to state that Conall had been wearing a blue polo tee-shirt and jeans.
PSNI Detective Inspector Conor McStravick is appealing for anyone who seen Conall after he left the Metro bar or anyone who witnessed any form of altercation on the walls close to Millennium Forum during the early hours of Sunday morning to contact Detectives in Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101.
Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
