A 19-year-old woman has appeared in court accused of engaging in sexual activity with a fourteen-year-old boy.
Derry Magistrates Court heard the woman was wearing only a towel when police found her with the boy in a room at the Drummond Hotel.

An investigating officer told the court the boy paid for the hotel room and police went to the Drummond Hotel after receiving information that the woman was with the boy
When she was arrested, the woman allegedly said: “Just leave us alone we love each other and want to be with each other.”
The investigating officer opposed bail and revealed the woman was granted bail for a previous allegation of sexual activity with the same boy.
A defence solicitor said the contact had been intitated by the boy, who his client believed was 16.
He added that there was “no suggestion of intimidation or violence” and the teenagers had been in a “tempestuous relationship” for the last five to six weeks.
District Judge Barney McElholm agreed to grant bail, with “grave trepidation.”
The 19-year-old was released on her own bail of £750, banned from possessing or using a mobile phone and banned from contacting the 14-year-old.
