A woman who threw a bottle at a man in a bar has been ordered to complete 120 hours community service.
Lauren McCool, of Ardgrange, pleaded guilty to assault on January 10.
The court heard that the injured sustained an injury to his right eye after being hit by the glass bottle and received three paper stitches.
Defence counsel Catherine Devlin told the court her client ‘did not mean to cause any injury’ and it was ‘completely out of character’.
Imposing the community service order, District Judge Barney McElholm ordered the 19-year-old to pay £200 compensation to the injured party.
