A judge has told a 31 year-old who failed to co-operate with a probation order his behaviour is “disgraceful and impertinent”.
District Judge Barney McElholm made the comment to Stephen Ansell of Altcar Park, who had been ordered to complete a two year probation order after he was convicted of making a threat to kill in November last year.
The court heard Ansell told probation officers he “didn’t like to be told what to do. He liked to be asked”.
Judge McElholm warned Ansell to “shake yourself” and co-operate fully or be sent to prison.
