Derry’s Culture Company says it’s thrilled to be playing a role in a major new living artwork by renowned opera and theatre director Deborah Warner.

Warner has selected two of the North’s most beautiful coastal locations, White Park Bay in County Antrim, and Mussenden Temple in Downhill County Derry, for Peace Camp, her co-commission for the London 2012 Festival and Derry-Londonderry 2013.

Peace Camp is a series of glowing encampments that will appear simultaneously at eight remote coastal locations ringing the North and Britain through four nights, from July 19-22, 2012.

Shona McCarthy, Chief Executive of Culture Company 2013, says: “We are thrilled to be part of such an innovative, exciting and positive project with artists of this calibre and with London 2012.
