Cyclist killed near Redcastle

A cyclist was killed in a collision with a van on the road between Gleneely and Redcastle in Inishowen on Saturday morning.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic collision which happened at Moneydarragh, Gleneely, Co. Donegal at about 9:15am.

The cyclist, in his 40s, was fatally injured in a collision with a van. A second cyclist injured in the incident was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The driver of the van was not injured.

The road at the scene remains closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
