Eighteen windows have been smashed during a vandalism attack at Immaculate Conception College in the Waterside.
Vandals broke into the school grounds and carried out the wrecking spree at around 4am on Wednesday.
Sinn Féin Councillor for the area Christopher Jackson slammed those responsible.
He said: “People in the Top of the Hill area are disgusted by this latest incident. Whoever was involved in this attack has now left the school with a hefty repair bill.”
He added: “It’s very sad to see this attack happening following the good news last week that a Masterplan for the regeneration of the Top of the Hill area is a step closer.
“We cannot allow a handful of people undermine the good work going on in the local community and I would urge anyone with information to bring it forward immediately.”
