Clonmany’s Super Family Music Festival hits the street for the 45th year on August 4 this year, with a superb line-up of entertainment for its ever increasing discerning fan base.

Clonmany have excelled themselves this year with headline act on the first Sunday none other than Mr. Donegal Ambassador of the year - our own Daniel O’Donnell. This is quite a coup for Donegal’s longest running family festival as Daniel is only playing two dates in Ireland this year!

Take note that the Festival gets underway a day earlier this year on Saturday, August 4, with the opening parade, fancy dress and music on the street with the sounds of David Craig. This will replace the normal Sunday programme of events with all the usual razzmatazz taking place the previous day - floats, bonny baby, Festival Queen final, free amusements from 5 until 6pm, Disney characters and much much more.

On the Sunday the festival really gets into top gear from 3pm with Patrick Feeney and his band, followed by the ever popular Mick Flavin. That evening, Ireland’s most popular entertainer Daniel O’Donnell and his band will take to the stage! The fun continues unabated all week with Monday evening’s line-up featuring Nathan Carter and his band. Tuesday sees Ireland’s heartthrob and former boy band singer Derek Ryan. On Wednesday singer Jimmy Buckley treads the boards followed on the Thursday night with Ireland’s King of Country Mike Denver and band.

The highly acclaimed High Kings feature on the Friday night with their unique blend of folk and ballads. On the penultimate night, the classic Wolftones will be entertaining the crowds and the grand finale on the Sunday will see music from Lisa McHugh and her band, and Robert Mizzell will see out Clonmany’s 45th extravaganza.

So don’t forget to make a date in your diary for August 4- 13. Clonmany is definitely the place to be!
