Danielle leads the way for No Smoking

This is the Derry woman who has become one of the public faces of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Northern Ireland’s “Proud to be a Quitter!” campaign.

Danielle Collins recently gave up smoking and when the campaign kikcs off tomorrow she will encouraging others to do the same.

Danielle said: “Since I quit I feel healthier, my skin’s clearer, my teeth are whiter and I don’t smell of smoke”.

Tony Doherty, Regional Coordinator with the Healthy Living Centre Alliance, said “On Wednesday 11 March Healthy Living Centre Staff in Belfast, Derry, Ards, Fermanagh and Tyrone will team up with local pharmacists, Cancer Focus NI and others to take these Champions’ messages and smiling faces into shopping centres to demonstrate to other smokers that ordinary people can do wonderful things for their health, their pockets and their families. The intention is to target 900 smokers throughout the north in one day.
