A play about dementia will be staged in the Irish Street Community Centre next Friday.
The play, which is called ‘Piece of Mind’, was written and produced by residents living from both Irish Street Community Centre and Hillcrest House in Gobnascale.
Waterside Neighbourhood Partnership, Health Development worker, Rhonda Boyd described the play as “heart warming” and encouraged as many people as possible to come along next week.
“The participants deliver a heart warming, humorous portrayal tinged with sadness of the impact dementia would have on an individual and the family unit. I hope plenty of people come along.
“It’s also a chance to raise money for a worthwhile cause.”
‘Piece of Mind’ will take place in the Irish Street Community Centre on Friday November 21 at 7pm.
All money raised on the night will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.
