Derry writer Tom Bryson, who has lived in England’s West Midlands for decades, has just published his latest crime novel ‘Too Smart to Die’.
His latest venture into the world of publishing, crime caper ‘Too Smart to Die’, is now available as an e-book from Amazon and in print format from Lulu.com.
‘Too Smart to Die’ sees Cop Matt Proctor investigating a gruesome murder. Suddenly he is charged with drug dealing corruption and kicked out of the police.
He fights to clear his name while hunting down a cyberworld cult that brings killing from computer gaming to the streets - who target Proctor and stalk his daughter Sarah as their next victims. This exciting plotline has further twists in store, however, as Proctor also has relationship issues with police colleague Inspector Azzra Mukherjee.
Tom’s next book, ‘In It For The Money’, will continue the saga with his popular lead protagonist. “My latest novel is nearing completion - once again featuring Birmingham based DCI Matt Proctor - whose murder investigations take him into the deadly world of sport’s spot-fixing gambling syndicates,” he reveals.
“I was one of the ‘cream of Derrymen!’ shipped out of the city in the sixties by the BSR factory in Bligh’s Lane, many of whom went on to enjoy great careers and achievements,” he explains of his move to England.
Settling in in the attractive village of Kinver, Tom became the Head of Human Resources for Centro - the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive.
In recent years, Tom finally succumbed to his love of writing.
“Now that our children have flown the nest and the mortgage is paid off, I’ve got the time to return to my love of stories and writing and published my first novel. I have the sequel and another completed thriller in the pipeline, both planned for publication before Christmas.
Tom has been kept busy of late, promoting the book and giving talks and presentations, including a session at The recent Bridgnorth Arts and Music Festival on the subject of ‘E-Books versus Print - Friends or Foes’.
