Derry DJs Liam Melly and Brian Deehan have caused quite a stir with their first EP, particularly its title track ‘Access ID’ and have been invited to air the single again and speak on BBC Radio 1 this Sunday night, November 27.

The two local men have been working together for over a year, emerging from the club scene into producing and promoting. The pair are currently signed to the in-demand Fraction Records, where their first EP was released this summer titled, ‘Access ID/Weekend Warriors.’

Such was the success of their initial release, Access ID and Weekend Warriors has been played by all the major A-list DJ names all over the world, as well as winning the vote on ‘harder faster.net’ as ‘Track of the Week” on Dave Pearce’s Trance Cast - indeed, Access ID was aired two weeks in a row on the UKs most popular radio station, BBC Radio 2.

Just days later, Dave Pearce himself contacted Liam, asking him to do a 30 minute guest mix on his hit show, where he again played Access ID and Weekend Warriors.

The duo are now busy in the studio, working on a follow-up to be released by Fraction Records. As well as working as a highly successful DJing team, both Liam and Brian work on separate projects. Liam has had singles out on Paul Van Dyk’s label, Vandit, Discover, Discover Dark and Bonzi. His latest solo EP is coming out on Fraction Records on December 27, entitled ‘Bomb Squad/Whiplashed’ Which is already getting support from some a-list names in the international DJing scene. Brian is also set to release his first solo single on Fraction early in 2012, so it’s very exciting times in the studio for both guys.

Outside the studio, Liam Melly and Brian Deehan have also landed a monthly club residency In Limavady’s Sweet Night Club, where they bring in both local and internationally acclaimed DJs, which launched last week with special guest David Forbes, another member of the Fraction Team.

They have also played the mighty Planet Love festival alongside the likes of international names such as Ferry Corsten, Simon Patterson, Judge Jules, ATB and Marco V.

So remember to tune into ‘BBC Radio 1 Introducing’ on 97-99 FM this Sunday night from midnight to hear these two Derry DJs showcase their exceptional new single ‘Access ID’ and give a full interview about their careers so far.
