A Derry man who was reported missing in Thailand by his family last week has been found.

Matthew Boyle’s cousin, Brian Melarkey, confirmed on social media website, Twitter, that the former St. Columb’s College pupil had been found and that he had had a phone conversation with his parents who are in Derry.

“Matthew has been located and his parents spoke with him this morning,” said Brian on Twitter on Tuesday.

“Thanks to the magic of social media Matthew has been located and his parents spoke with him this morning. Thank you everyone.”

Matthew (37) has been living and working in Bangkok since 2011.
