This is the Derry girl who has gone from “tomboy” to beauty queen.
Aoife Francesa Grant, was more into sport than hair and beauty but that has all changed now for the Culmore Road girl.
Last year she entered the Face of Ireland competition and hasn’t looked back since.
Aoife has since represented Ireland at a number of World Beauty Finals and International pageants, such as Miss America Dream, UK and Europe held in November, the Miss Swimsuit World Finals held in Mexico in December, and the Tropic Beauty World Finals held in the MGM Las Vegas in January.
Aoife’s 2012 schedule is just as hectic she is modelling at the Monaco Gran Prix and the Cannes Film festival and representing Ireland at the Miss Global International in Jamaica in September.
“But I’m still a tom boy,” she laughs. “I’m only just learning this hair and beauty thing. I was more into netball and studying Sport and Exercise.”
“I was shy at school I even wore long shorts under my skirt.
“I travel the world to pagents but I was never a party head.
“I didn’t party for my 18th even as I had a European tournament for the Northern Irish netball team.”
Now she dates the current Mr. NI Neil Anderson “ a real life Ken and Barbie,” she jokes.
Aoife attributes the boost in confidence to her new business venture with Herbalife weightloss products.
“I went from using to distributing them as well as travel the world modelling.
“I just love the lifestyle.”
