Derry urged to support MRI scanner appeal

A fundraising campaign recently launched by Tayto is hoping that people living in Derry will show that they ‘share & care’ by supporting the MRI Scanner Appeal.

Currently, the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children is the only children’s hospital that does not have an MRI Scanner and Tayto has pledged its support to raising the funds needed to purchase this vital piece of equipment.

Tayto has developed a range of ‘Share & Care’ products and will donate 5p per bag sold to help fund an MRI scanner for the hospital. Nigel Kearney, from Helping Hand, charity to the hospital, explains: ‘An MRI Scanner is an essential piece of equipment in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of conditions including orthopaedics, the nervous system, cardiology and cancer.”
