A heartbroken disabled local woman has appealed for help from people in Derry to find her beloved pet dog, Billy, who went missing from the Foyle Road area on Sunday.

Elaine McGilloway said she has been unable to sleep since the King Charles pup, who is just two years-old, went missing from her home on Sunday night.

“He would normally go out with the bigger dogs but he always came back; on Sunday he didn’t.”

Elaine and her family say their big fear is that someone has stolen the beloved family dog.

They have already appealed for his return on social media sites all to no avail.

“I just want to say he is a very dear companion to me, a disabled woman, and I want him back,” Elaine said.

Anyone with information about ‘Billy’ or who may be able to reunite him with his owner is asked to call Elaine on 07821584558 or call the Journal office on 71272200.
