A Dungiven group caring for people with learning and physical disabilities has expressed dismay after artwork their members produced was removed from along the Main Street.

Limavady Borough Council had received DoE funding to address dereliction in Dungiven. Groups, including Glenshane Care Association, produced artwork which was erected on Main Street but recently three boards of artwork were removed. Former manager of Glenshane Care Association Betty Murphy said it was “disppointing”.

The DOE said they “received a complaint regarding alleged unauthorised signage in Main Street, Dungiven” and it had “opened an investigation in to this and written to the landowner as part of these investigations”.

Sinn Fein Colr. Sean McGlinchey said the signs will be erected again.
