News of Derry’s record world breaking attempt has now gone global.
This week the Sydney Morning Herald mentioned the Annie world record attempt as one of the ten most compelling cultural events of 2013, alongside the Turner Prize in Derry.
Boys and Girls, Mums & Dads, Grannies and Granadads and everyone are being called to participate in the Guinness World Record attempt along with the Foyle School of Speech & Drama.
To raise money for the Foyle Hospice the group are attempting to set the record for the largest song and dance routine from the musical ‘ANNIE’. They will be singing and dancing along to the well-known song ‘It’s a Hard Knock Life’.
Do you want to be one of the 4500+ people taking part by singing and dancing in unison for over 3minutes.
This one off, unique event will be taking place in Ebrington Square on Saturday 2nd March 2013 at 1pm. As a thank you to her hometown and in support of Foyle School of Speech & Drama and Foyle Hospice the event is being sponsored by Hollywood Actress Roma Downey.
