'Dogging' reports rubbished

Raunchy reports Donegal people are going barking mad dogging in Inishowen have been rubbished by Buncrana Garda.

The sex fad - where couples 'get it on' in public while others watch - has, according to Journal sources, hit the streets of Buncrana.

Dogging comes from the expression 'walking the dog'. It is a term that covers outdoor exhibitionism and what's described as 'car fun'.

And, reports from our sister paper, Donegal on Sunday, indicate a website has even been set-up for Donegal doggers to discuss where their next 'sexploits' will be.

Hotspots are already noted on the popular site as being Lisfannon beach and public toilets on the sea-front in Buncrana amongst a host of other locations across the county.

But Buncrana Sergeant John O'Keefe doesn't believe explicit public sex acts are going on.

He said: "We have had no reports of it here.

"It would really be a matter for people to complain about indecency in public.

"We have had no complaints about this."

But website bosses have said they set up the website as a result of soaring numbers of requests from doggers in the area.

They said: "We have set-up this page after numerous requests from couples and a few singles asking for help finding locations.

"If anyone knows of any lovers lanes, woods, car parks that are used for 'doggers' would you let us know please, so we can spread the word and help the area get more Irish sex swingers and visitors.

"Dogging can be great fun, and at times it is a real thrill of excitement.

"Just be careful, don't do it just anywhere and keep your eyes open."

The Journal revealed, earlier this year, that Inishowen is 'king of the swingers' with people flocking to certain areas of the peninsula to throw in their car keys and wife swap. One source, who wished not to be named, told the Journal: "Swingers and doggers are meeting in Inishowen.

"There are regular haunts that people go to and that is that.

"Dogging has been going on before, but this website means people can arrange to meet at certain locations."
