Donegal Hospice ‘Beard and Head Shave’

A date to mark in your diary is Friday, 4th May when a fund raising event in aid of the Donegal Hospice will take place in the Squealin’ Pig, Muff. The highlight of the evening will be a sponsored ‘Beard and Head Shave’ when one brave men will have his beard shaved off and another will have his head shaved for this very good cause. Music on the night will be supplied by Michael B’n Golly’g and ‘The Two of Us’.There will also be loads of prizes. Admission 5 euro/£5. Tickets now on sale.

All activities that take place in St Mary’s Hall have resumed after the Easter recess - Monday: Boxercise, senior youth club, computer class; Tuesday, Mother Toddler Group, zumba dancing, Irish language class, kickboxing, ICA (every 3rd Tuesday); Wednesday, crochet, brigini, red cross, ceili class; Thursday, Mother Toddler group, Irish Dancing, Muff Youth Accordion Band, Friday, kickboxing. Muff Community Development is organizing a short introductory course on ‘Wines of the World’ on Wednesday evenings in St Mary’s community hall from the end of April. Cost 0 euro per person. Pre registration is essential. Please ring 9384572.

The AGM of the Muff Community Development Co-op Society will take place in the cellar of St Mary’s community hall on Tuesday the 24th of April at 8:30pm all welcome.

Naomh Padraig GAA would like to thank all who took part in and attended the recent concert in aid of ICARE. 500euro was raised. Congratulations to Kai McDonald, Jack Butler McCarron and Patrick McGroddy who had the privilage of playing hurling in Croke Park last Wednesday and to Rory Hirrell who got the chance to show off his footballing skill there. Our summer camp will run from the 2nd to the 6th of July more details later.

Time on Your Hands Group next Tuesday 24th April the first meeting of the new Book Club will take place. If you are interested in getting the Book Club established please join us at St. Mary’s Community Hall, Muff at 2pm.

Muff Youth Team Challenge - re you up for a new team challenge on Sunday 13th May at the MUGA from 2 – 5pm, Muff? Can you get a team together from where you live to take part in the challenge? Here’s what you need to do! Get a team of 6; you have to have both boys and girls in your team. Teams will compete in two age groups 8 -12yrs, 13 -16yrs.

Your team members must all live in the same estate / townland. Think up a team name – one that lets everyone know where your team live. Register your team in the Resource Centre. Once you are registered and have received your sponsorship forms – go get sponsorship. Return your forms and sponsorship to the Resource Centre by Friday 11th May. There will be a BBQ and refreshments on site. All monies raised will go to the Play Park Development Fund.

There will be a Service of Light this Sunday, 22nd April at 3pm for all who will be confirmed. Sponsors are asked to attend the Service of Light as there will be a practice for confirmation afterwards and seating arrangements will be finalised. Children will be confirmed on Thursday 26th April at 6pm by Monsignor Eamon Martin. Refreshments will take place afterwards in St. Mary’s Community Hall, Muff.

Meals have recommenced at Warren View Manor every Wednesday at 12:30pm. Excellent value for money and a great time to catch up with friends of neighbours.

Line dancing continues every Monday night...all levels welcome at only 5 euro per class.
