Creggan Enterprises Limited, in association with The Hive Studio, are delighted to announce dates for DENIZEN by Dave Duggan, a new play in the form of a speech from the dock.

In a unique piece of theatrical staging, the opening night will be in the Ráth Mór Centre, followed by dates in Bishop Street Court House, a first for both buildings.

Conal McFeely, development executive at Creggan Enterprises said: “We’re delighted to be producing Dave Duggan’s new play. It’s part of our social development programme, using cultural productions to promote dialogue on challenging issues facing society here. Derry City Council and Arts Council Northern Ireland are supporting this work through The Legacy Fund.”

Writer and director Dave Duggan added: “Production is in full-swing.

Technicians from The Hive are rigging and planning for the on-stage visual aspects and we’ve engaged Diarmuid de Faoite, an actor from Galway most recently seen in TG4’s Corp agus Anam. He brings a striking physical presence as well as considerable stage, film and theatre experience.”

Tickets are on sale at The Millennium Forum and Pennywise (Ráth Mór Centre) for shows at the Ráth Mór Centre on Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st March, at £5 and for shows on 5th, 6th and 7th April at The Court House on Bishop Street, at £10 and £7.
