Durkan '˜delighted' with 80 new jobs for Derry

SDLP election candidate for Foyle, Mark H. Durkan, has described a jobs announcement for Derry as 'welcome boost for our local economy'.

British retailer, the Range, confirmed on Wednesday that we will be creating up to 80 jobs at the former B&Q site near Buncrana Road.

“I am delighted that The Range will be creating 80 new jobs in Derry.

“This is a much-needed and welcome boost for our local economy.

“It also shows that the company has great confidence in Derry – and our reliable, skilled and committed workforce.”

Mr. Durkan made a point of thanking everyone involved in bringing the Range to the city.

“I congratulate all involved in helping to establish these new employment opportunities here.”
