The Good Friday Service with Communion will take place at 8pm, in Fahan Presbyterian Church A cup of tea will be provided afterwards in the hall. Everyone is welcome.
There will be a Coffee Morning and Cake Sale in the church hall on Saturday from 11am until 12.30pm. There is no charge for admission or tea.
On Easter Sunday, an ‘Amazing Grace’ celebration will take place, during which the story of John Newton and the Amazing Grace that saved him will be presented. John Newton arrived into Lough Swilly on April 8, 1748. Sunday’s event is taking place in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel at 7.30pm. Taking part will be the Inishowen Gospel Choir, Hip Hop Dance presented by local dance crew, drama, poetry, video, music, and video exhibition. The Entrance fee is 5 euro, which includes tea and coffee. Under 12s are free.
The Inishowen Carnival Group is planning to bring some of its weird and wonderful weather making machines to the Carndonagh Easter parade, on Easter Monday at 3.00pm. The group has a number of large props which it hopes to include in the parade but it needs people to help push them. Everybody is welcome along to at the carnival offices, at 1pm on Easter Monday, to get into costume, and get your face painted before the 3pm start. A dance will take place in the Halfway House, on Easter Sunday night, in aid of Alzheimers Research. Music is by Hugh McMonagle. Dancing is from 11.00 pm until 1.00 am, followed by a disco.
