Top honours for NWRC students

Students from North West Regional College (NWRC) campuses in Springtown and Greystone (Limavady) have collected the top honours at the recent Northern Ireland Autoskills Regional Finals which were held in Riverpark Training and Development Centre, Mallusk.

The College entered three students in the Light Vehicle Mechanics category and collected all three top awards. In first place was Derry student Eoin McCloskey, followed by John Hynds from Limavady who finished second, and rounding of the successful trio was third placed William Doherty from Buncrana.

The college also had winners in the Panel Category with a third place from Jonathan Mosgrove, and a fourth place in body refinishing with student Dylan Russell.

Following the competition the College enjoyed further success as first year student Jordan Barlow was selected to compete in the Worldskills National heats which commence in June at Coventry , England.
