Election 2014: Donnelly tops the poll in the Moor

Independent candidate Gary Donnelly, a prominent member of the 32 County Sovereignty Movement, has topped the poll in The Moor - vowing that he is “ready for the challenges” which lie ahead.

Colr. Donnelly received 1154 first preference votes in the local council elections - winning more support than Sinn Fein candidate Kevin Campbell.

He said he believed his success was down to the fact “people are tired of party politics” and that he was ready to take on the challenges which lay ahead and represent the people of his constituency to the best of his ability.
