Enjoy an evening with Sam Maguire

Buncrana G.A.A. will be hosting an evening with Sam Maguire and Ryan Bradley this Sunday, 28th in the Plaza. The event will incorporate the Bord na nÓg presentations for the year. Sam will be there from about 5pm until 9pm with the underage presentations, which are free to attend and open to everyone, beginning at 5.30 p.m. This will be followed at 7.30 p.m. by a showing of the All Ireland Final on the big screen, Ryan bringing the cup to Buncrana and finishing off with a disco (over 18s only).

There will be a charity dance in memory of Sally Henderson and Phil Fullerton tomorrow evening in the Lake of Shadows Hotel. Music by: Charlies Country Kitchen (Inishowen Radio) Admission is 10 euro including supper. Dancing from 11pm to 2am. All proceeds in aid of mental health carers group.

Vintage kitchen props are wanted for a forthcoming stage play by Derry playwright, Brian Foster. A decent price will be paid for any of the following from the 1930s -1960s era - an old cooker, an old washing machine, an old fridge, freestanding kitchen/larder units (type with glass or formica doors would be ideal, one or more old wooden kitchen chairs, an old ironing board, an old bicycle, pots, pans, etc. Feel free to offer any other vintage kitchen props from the 1930s to 1960s era. The condition of all these is totally irrelevant, the tattier the better, and cooker doesn’t need to be working. Will collect and pay a fair price or make a donation to a charity of your choice. Do you love singing? Do you want to have fun learning new songs? Are you eager to perform in great venues? Then come along and join a new Junior Choir in Carndonagh to cover the Inishowen area. Suitable for young singers at all levels, membership is open to children between the ages of 7 and 12 years. Donegal Junior Choirs cover many different styles of music from Classical and Folk to arrangements of favourite Pop songs. Carndonagh Community Market is having its annual Hallowe’en Fun Day tomorowat the Colgan Hall from 12- 3p.m. As well as over twenty stalls selling local, handmade products, there will also be a lucky dip, face painting, arts & crafts, cupcake decorating, and live music.
