The fan, known only as Jay-O, is from Dublin and lost his precious ticket to the game moments before kick-off.

Brian and his friends from Derry all bunched together and bought Jay-O another ticket to the game.

Brian recorded the moment they presented Jay-O with the ticket and posted it on Facebook.

“I feel like I have won the lotto - I just my ticket and now I have another one,” said Jay-O tearfully.

Brian said: “Sure isn’t this what we are all about - c’mon boys, c’mon.”

Ireland drew 1-1 with Sweden and their next game is against Belgium in Bordeaux on Saturday, kick-off 2.00p.m. (G.M.T.).
