Family fun on the city walls this Sunday

Join the National Trust for a fun-filled family activity day on Derry’s historic walls on Sunday 3 November from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

The ‘hub’ for activities will be the charity’s new offices at No. 1 St Columb’s Court. Fun activities will include a Treasure Hunt / Heritage Trail, kids can learn how to build a bird’s nest, discover what unusual objects are used for, or dress up in historical costumes.

To add to the entertainment, Mark Lusby, City Walls Heritage Officer will be taking guided tours of the walls and canon, revealing the history and significance of the walls.

Tours will depart from National Trust offices at No. 1 St Columb’s Court on the hour from 1pm to 4pm.

The event takes place from 12.30pm to 4.30pm and all activities are free.
