There are a number of categories in the event with prizes, which includes first, second and third for male and females as well as first, second and third for male and female over 40’s. Eurospar Dungiven will be donating the cash prizes.
Aileen McNicholl, Manager of Eurospar said: “This is a very worthwhile event which can include the whole community, whether it is through their participation or just their support. It will be a fun day of events with all proceeds going to a good cause so I would appeal to everyone to try and take part.”
Local charity Benbradagh Community Support will be sharing the proceeds from the event.
Community & Youth Co-Ordinator Colleen Harkin said: “We are delighted that Eurospar have asked us to become involved in this years charity run.
“As a new organisation it can at times be a struggle to secure funding but the money raised at this event will go along way to ensuring we can continue to provide very worthwhile and popular projects in the Dungiven area. It is fantastic to see local business giving back to the community.”
