Colr Chivers said the three-hour long session “will give a practical understanding of on farm risks and how to identify and manage them”.

“I welcome that these workshops are taking place across the North as we have seen in recent weeks and years the devastating impact farm accidents can have on families and whole communities,” said Colr Chivers.

“The health and safety workshops will take place during November and December this year. Workshops are targeted at farmers, farm family members and farm workers. The workshops offer practical awareness covering the everyday hazards faced by the farming industry and the local event will take place in Dungiven on the 29th November at 7pm.

“It will be a three-hour session which will give a practical understanding of on farm risks and how to identify and manage them.

“It will be free to attend and the information gained could be enough to save a life.”
