Stunner Geraldine sheds 14 stone and is half the woman she used to be
Now after losing an astonishing 14 stone at Slimming World - she still fits into it, but she and her daughter Carol can both get into it together, and there’s still room left over.
Now a svelte size 14, Geraldine’s never looked better, she says she’s never felt better and she’s shopping for clothes she never ever thought she’d be able to buy.

“I supposed I piled on the pounds when my daughter was born,” said Geraldine. “The weight was going on and I didn’t even notice.
“It’s only now when I look back at pictures I realise how big I was.”
While Geraldine was embarrassed by her body shape, especially when she was on holiday - she said it never held her back.

“But buying clothes was a nightmare. I had to buy everything online and in catalogues. One time I got two dresses and sewed them into one.”
The Quigley’s Point woman said her biggest downfall and guilty pleasure was chips, crisps and a glass of Baileys.
“I had tried dieting before,” she said. “But nothing worked. I was doing it all wrong. I had it in my head, I’ll go on this diet now, and when I have lost so much stone I can go back to what I was doing.

“From the start Janice was so supportive, she was there 24/7. She helped me make the changes to my lifestyle.
“It’s amazing, because I’m losing weight and I can still have my chips, Slimming World chips. And I still have a treat and get chips from the chippie too, I just don’t do it two or three nights a week.”
Since she reached her target weight, Geraldine says she feels fantastic.

“I can go into a shop and find something that will fit me.”
Geraldine’s even changed her hair colour saying: “Blondes have more fun.”
“People who haven’t seen me in a while pass me in the street,” she said. “And to be honest when I look in the mirror I look so different.”
And Geraldine told us how she is a superfan of Dominic Kirwan - and at his last concert, he barely recognised her,

The trio all attend Janice Tracey’s Slimming World classes at Da Vincis on Monday nights.
“The group is the secret,” said Geraldine. “We are all the same once we come through that door, whether you have seven pound to lose or seven stone.
“Before any of this happened I never walked, now I’m away with my music down at the Foyle, out clearing the head. I have never been this thin in my life.

“I have a picture frame that I’ve been waiting to put a picture of the new me into. I’m going to do that now.”
