Festival at the Top 2014 will take place on July 12th and 13th at Malin Head. Activities will include a Soap Box Derby: Road Run/Walk and Art Exhibition. Enquiries to Malin Head Community Centre.
A ceili and Old Tyme Dance will be held in Bocan Hall next Friday, 23rd May in aid of Bocan Defibrilator. Music by Martin Duggan and admission including supper is 5 euro.
Scoil Treasa Naofa, Malin (Old School 1951 – 1984) Reunion will be held in the Malin Hotel on Saturday, August 9th. An event page has been set up on Facebook. (Scoil Treasa Naofa Malin) to promote the reunion. Please “Like” and spread the news to family and friends home and abroad.

Malin GAA: Our senior footballers shared the spoils when they made the long journey west to take on Gweedore in Magheragallon on Sunday. We held a 2 point lead at the interval, thanks to a Brendan Fildara goal. Brendan added a second goal but Gweedore rallied and secured a draw, with an injury time point. The final score was Gweedore 1-11 2-8 Malin. The reserves produced a battling display but were unfortunately beaten by a stronger Gweedore side, 1-14 to 0-6.
Our ladies maintained their impressive start to the season with a 2-10 to 0-9 victory over Red Hughs in Connolly Park on Sunday. Due to exams the league season will take a short break, but the girls hope to arrange some friendlies in the coming weeks.
The clubhouse was packed to capacity on the Bank Holiday Sunday for our eagerly awaited Draw With A Difference. There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot, sequence drawn was 4-3-1-7-5-2-6. €50 winner was Gerard Monagle, Malin, 20 euro seller’s prize, Ryan Mc Laughlin. Next week’s jackpot is €550 and as always we would like to thank the local community for their continued support of our weekly lotto draw.Commiserations to our Under 14 panel who were beaten in the Inishowen B final by Moville on Sunday. Well done to the Under 16 squad who beat Urris in the Inishowen League last week.
