Two women who performed in a Derry musical combo more than 40 years ago are searching for one of its old record releases.

‘Kitty in a Basket’ was recorded by The Little Nazareth Singers way back in the late 1960s.

The group of singers/musicians was based out of Nazareth House at Bishop Street in the city.

The record being sought by Pauline Mullan and Liz Kennedy was, it’s understood, released in 1969.

Both Pauline and Liz were members of The Little Nazareth Singers who, at that time, were a popular act on the Irish entertainment circuit.

However, the one thing they don’t have from their performing days is a copy of ‘Kitty in a Basket’ which was released on the Rose record label.

Pauline says: “We’d love to track down a copy of the record. If anyone has it, we’d like to get in touch with them.

“We know people who have the record - but it’s always without the cover sleeve. We want both the record and sleeve because it includes a photograph of The Little Nazareth Singers.”

“It would be great to get a copy of the record,” added Liz. “We’ve been trying to locate it for some time now but with no luck.”

Anyone with information can contact Pauline on (0789420597) or Liz on (07593388364).
