Foyle Arena to close for Election counts

Foyle Arena in Derry is to close for four days to facilitate the election counts for Foyle and East Derry.

The Foyle Arena at St Columb’s Park is to remain shut from tomorrow (Wednesday) through until Saturday.​

The Arena will be used to count the votes from Friday morning after voters head to the polls on Thursday for the second NI Assembly election in the past year.

Users of the Foyle Aren are being encouraged to use the Council’s other leisure facilities across the Council area including Templemore Sports Centre, Brooke Park Leisure Centre and City Baths, Derry; Melvin Leisure Centre and Riversdale Leisure Centre, Strabane.
