Foyle Bridge reopens after car hits railings

The Foyle Bridge has reopened after a car hit railings on the Waterside bound lane, the PSNI have confirmed

The collision happended shortly after 2pm causing the closure of one lane and traffic chaos in and around the bridge.

Traffic returned to normal at 3:05pm a PSNI spokesman said.

Meanwhile a 25 year old man has been taken to hospital after being cut from a car followng a two car collision close to Limavady.

“A two car collision on the Ballykelly Road outside Limavady resulted in firefighters having to use cutting gear to release a 25 year old man from his vehicle. He was transferred to hospital by ambulance,” the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said.
