Searches of the Foyle have got underway again today for missing teenager Kieran McKeon.

The 18 year old from the Republic has been missing since the early hours of Thursday morning.

It’s feared that the body of a woman recovered from the river on Thursday evening could be Alexandra O’Brien, a 21 years-old woman who was travelling with the teenager.

However police in Derry say no formal identification of the remains has taken place.

Over the weekend, the Irish Coastguard joined in the search for the teen.

Craig Smyth of Foyle Search and Rescue said they are concentrating on the area of the river between Culmore and Newbuildings.
