Have your say

Come along to Foyleside Shopping Centre tomorrow at 12 noon and you can support Children in Crossfire’s Festive Jail Break. Six local ‘jailbirds’, including the city’s Deputy Mayor, Gary Middleton, champion boxer, Paul Dudey McCloskey, Danny Ogle, ‘The Legend’, Gerry Coyle of the Mindbenders, Francie Brandon local entrepreneur and Gregory McLaughlin of O’Briens GAA Club have all to fundraise £150 to get released from their festive cell on the third floor of Foyleside Shopping Centre.

Your donation, which can be made today at justgiving.com/childrenincrossfire will be used to fund the Nourish programme at St Luke’s Hospital, Ethiopia. The project supports acute care and the rehabilitation of malnourished children. Every £8 raised will purchase porridge for underfed children, every £19 will give a family a food boost kit and if you’re feeling especially generous this Christmas, £97 will treat and provide care for four children in the therapeutic feeding centre.

So call at Foyleside tomorrow to have a laugh and support a worthwhile cause
