The Museum of Free Derry are opening for free from Monday to Wednesday next week to help celebrate the end of another fantastic year.
The internationally acclaimed Bogside museum is celebrating a year which saw almost 17,000 visitors coming through its doors, including civil rights leader Jessie Jackson and Hollywood star Jude Law. The Museum of Free Derry are particularly jubilant, having made great strides towards Phase Two - the ambitious rebuild of the museum - which could begin in Spring next year. Manager Adrian Kerr said: “We are conscious of the economic climate and we want to give local people the chance to visit for free. Our opening hours are from 9.30am to 4.30pm - we hope to see lots of local people pop in while they’re in town for Christmas shopping.”
