How would you describe yourself?
Self-motivated and focused.
Happiest childhood memory?
Portstewart beach during the summer holidays.
What was your first job?
Working in a retail store which gave me a passion for retailing which I have not lost . My career has been involved in retailing most of my working life
I like reading autobiographies the most recent being Steve Jobs after the Apple Store opened in Foyleside, an interesting life story to say the least !
I like all the Godfather films and Schindler’s List
Favourite television programme?
The measure you give is the measure you get.
Favourite method of relaxation?
I enjoy 5 a side football every week although not so sure about the day after !
Favourite holiday destination?
Lake Garda, Italy.
Who would you most like to meet?
Probably the best footballer ever, Lionel Messi.
What makes you angry?
Procrastination ,either by individuals when completing a task , and have no reason to delay completing it and also by agencies delaying/ obstructing progress.
What makes you happy?
I get a real buzz when marketing events and promotions have been successful in the Centre when shoppers and shops are satisfied. We get some really favourable comments from visitors to the Centre which is really motivational for all the team . I am hoping the 20th Birthday celebrations in Foyleside this weekend will be one of those occasions when Foyleside will be giving away £10,000 of gift vouchers throughout the weekend
What human quality do you most admire?
I admire honesty and loyalty.
What human quality do you least admire?
I dislike character assassination or ridicule by others.
What has been the most embarrassing thing to happen to you?
A front tooth became dislodged in a presentation meeting once thankfully I was able to recover and it stayed in position until after the meeting
What was the worst thing to happen to you in your life?
I had a few near misses in car accidents, however, thankfully came through unscathed
What is your greatest fear?
I am not the best swimmer and I dislike getting too far out of my depth.
What has been the high point of your life to date?
Playing in an All Ireland Club final.
How would you like to be remembered?
As a straightforward person who led by example.
What is your most treasured possession?
An All Ireland club medal with Lavey in 1991.
If you won the Lotto what would you do with it?
I would secure family and friends, contribute to agencies working in the developing countries, retire early and try to visit some of the world’s famous sights
If you could be granted one wish in life, what would you ask for?
A long and healthy life to enjoy my family and kids as they grow older
If you could write your own epitaph what would it be?
