‘Friends’ group donate £15,000 to Hospital

The Western Health and Social Care Trust has thanked the Friends of Altnagelvin Hospital for their ongoing support and fundraising effort after the group donated £15,000 worth of gifts for patient use in the hospital.

Elaine Way, Western Trust Chief Executive, said: “I wish to thank the members of the Friends of Altnagelvin for their support. This group of volunteers give generously of their time for a variety of fundraising activities.

“This fundraising helps to contribute to the comfort of patients and relatives from across the Western Trust area while they are in Altnagelvin Hospital.”

Karen Love of the Friends group said: “Thanks to the generosity of the public through donations and support for the committee’s fundraising efforts we have been able to buy a range of items for various wards in the hospital.
