FWIN which was established in 1994, aims to increase the capacity, visibility and voice of women in the North West. The quilt project will see women from nine communities across the city of Derry working on a quilt which represents the contribution of women in the area over the years. The IT training is intended to help women over 50 become more connected by enabling them to begin using email and the Internet which will help with making medical’ appointments, ordering repeat prescriptions and taxing cars online.

The overall aim of the project is to make a positive contribution towards addressing social isolation, equality of opportunity and targeting social need in the whole council area by encouraging 100 women to develop themselves and increase their skills.
