The Buncrana G.A.A. Club, in recognition of the hard work and dedication of the late Eamon McMenamin, wish to honour his memory by naming the main hall in the club house, Seomra Eamon McMenamin. This ceremony will take place in the club house at the Scarvey on next Wednesday, 15th at 7.30 p.m. Any queries please telephone 086 0811524.

The Swilly Gardening Club will meet at Amazing Grace Park on Monday 20th July at 7.30 p.m. and will then visit a garden in Fahan. Everyone is welcome. Contact 0863573145 for further information.

Burt’s annual charity booksale will take place tomorrow from 10 30 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday from 12 noon – 5 p.m. and again on Monday 13th from 10 30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Proceeds to MS Ireland (Donegal Branch) and Burt Branch, of The Irish Red Cross. Graveyard Sunday will take place in Cockhill on Sunday, 26th July and in Desertegney on Sunday, 2nd August.

A charity night in aid of Donegal Hospice in memory of Paul Barrett will be held in the Plaza on Friday, 17th July at 10 p.m. Music is by The Mindbenders and admission is 10 euro

Join Shunie Crampsey and Patsy Cavanagh, two of Ireland’s leading songwriters, in an evening of song and story on Saturday 25th July at 9 p.m. doors open at 8.15 p.m. All welcome. Adults €10 and children are free.

There will be a walk/pilgrimage to the holy well (Tobar na Suil) on top of Sliabh Sneacht on Sunday 19th July leaving the Centre at 1 p.m. Please bring hiking boots and a stick, refreshments after in the Centre. All are welcome.

Hurling for beginners will take place for boys aged 9, 10 and 11 years old on the Scoil Mhuire pitch on July 14th, 16th, 21st and 23rd Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. 20 euro each which includes hurl and a sliotar. Contact Donall MacLochlainn, telephone 087 9710181.

There will be a fundraising dance tonight for the new wheelchair bus for learning disability James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Carndonagh with music by Eddie Gallagher. Special guest will be David James McNamee. Admission is 10 euro and doors open at 10 p.m. The RNLI is having a Coffee Morning on Wednesday next 15th July at its shop in. Bridge Street, Carndonagh from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Please support this worthy cause.
