Gardai investigate sudden death in Buncrana

Gardai in Inishowen are investigating the sudden death of a young man in Buncrana.

It is understood the man, who is in his 30s, was found dead on Friday evening in the vicinity of the ‘Old Mill’ in the town.

Garda Superintendent Eugene McGovern said Gardai received a report at 8.30pm and the man was found in small building off the Mill Brae. He is understood to be a Polish national.

The area was cordoned off and the man’s body was removed to Letterkenny University Hospital for post mortem.

Superintendent McGovern confirmed the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
