A host of fun and challenging activities are on the agenda for those aged over 60 at Older People North West/Age Concern Derry in September 2012.

For the creative folk out there, recreational art will recommence on Tuesday, September 18, at 1.30pm and early registration is advised.

Old Time Dancing will take place every Tuesday night from 7pm-9pm, and Gentle Chair Aerobics will begin from Thursday, September 13, with classes being held in a group setting with a qualified instructor.

Older People North West/ Age Concern Derry will also be recommencing the popular ‘Singtonicity’ classes on Wednesday, September 19, at 10.30pm. The classes are a fun way of improving one’s health through singing and are especially good for encouraging the mind and body to relax, improve breathing and benefit the heart and immune system, improve posture, lower blood pressure and enhance social, spiritual and emotion wellbeing.

Yoga also takes place every Monday afternoon from 2pm-3pm. The organisation is now enrolling for the Male Only Yoga classes which take place on a Tuesday morning.

Older People North West/ Age Concern Derry also provide computer tuition on a ‘one to one’ basis four mornings per week, with the computer tuition tailor made for each older person and everyone being taught at their own pace of learning. This is the ideal way to learn and improve computer skills; gain confidence in using a computer, whether it be for personal or work use!

If you interested in any of the above activities, please telephone: 71 347478. All activities take place at Malvern House on Chapel Road and all those over 60 are welcome to attend.
