There are just a few places left on a free Life Skills Course beginning in Derry later this month.
If you are currently experiencing low mood, stress or depression Aware Defeat Depression’s Life Skills Course may be of benefit to you.
The course is called ‘Living Life to the Full’ and teaches important life skills and techniques for dealing with the common problems often noticed when feeling down or depressed.
Aware has been invited to deliver two courses as part of a research project with University of Glasgow and Depression Alliance, Scotland.
The courses are scheduled to take place at Aware Defeat Depression, 56 Strand Road, Derry on the following dates: Course 1: Commences Friday 25th February – Finishes Friday 15th April; Course 2: Commences Friday 13th May – Finishes Friday 1st July.
Both courses commence at 10.00am and run for eight sessions of approximately one and a half hours i.e. one session per week. Applicants must be over 16 and available on all of the above dates as due to the nature of the project participants will be randomly selected for either of the courses.
Applicants must also sign a consent form to take part.
