Just back from touring Germany and Bahrain in November and before going to Australia in December, Aslan will be performing for one night only in the Alley Theatre on Friday, November 25, at 8pm.
Aslan are one of Irish music’s most enduring names, a group who have spent fifteen years performing great music formed in the mid-80s, they made an instant impression when their debut album went to number one, followed by their classic single ‘Crazy World’.
In 2008 Aslan were named ‘Best Irish Band’ at The Meteor Irish Music Awards.
Refusing to rest on their laurels, they have been busier and more productive than ever touring the world and releasing a string of best selling albums, culminating in 2009′s Uncased that was only kept off the number one spot by Eminem.
2011 sees the band working on a new studio album and as they’re 30 years together next year, they’re in the process of making a documentary on the story of Aslan from 1982, up to present day called Aslan Please Don’t Stop.
As part of their 30 year celebrations Aslan were also invited to record with the RTE Concert Orchestra, they recorded two tracks from their forthcoming album Gilbert O’Sullivan’s “Nothing Rhymed” and a new track called “Frank’s Van”
Tickets for this fantastic concert are priced £16. For more information or to book tickets contact the Alley Theatre Box Office on: 71 384444 or look them up online at: www.alley-theatre.com.
